Back in my day the medical certificate was yellow. Sadly probably couldn’t even get one today.

In any event, best of luck!

farscythe beat me to the joke, but here have this one anyway:

Careful though, they can get hot too!

Best of luck! I’m so jealous. I desperately wanted to be a pilot as a kid but it turns out they expect you to be able to see we ll to get a license.

If only a doghouse could fly. I’ve seen the r/c version. I want one somewhat bigger.

That one makes me sad. Ah well, I couldn’t afford the operating costs anyway!

You might be able to qualify for a private pilot certificate. Not commercial though.

Of course, Kinja is preventing me from posting pics of me flying a Warrior II for my solo...but imagine a Warrior II with me flying it, and you got the picture :)

I actually went through all my training and now need to take the test. I’m a terrible student when it’s comes to just reading stuff. Ground school was OK, but it only covered the big items. Not things like rotor clouds and whether it’s more dangerous above or below them. What sort of studying did you do?

However, once I get the test passed, then I have some hours knocking the rust off and prepping for the actual check ride (I hadn’t been flying since the summer - life sort of got in the way).  Where you fly out of?

Nah, not even private. Is it a sport license that allows limited daytime and no nighttime? I think that one is my only option.

Sport is daytime only. One of the ladies in ground school with me was going for Sport . She has an older plane that doesn’t even have nav lights, so she can only fly it under Sport rules. Might be perfect for you!
